Program Description
SJC Strength & Vitality operates an SMS text messaging program for members and prospective members who have opted in. Messages may include replies to questions you have asked us, trial pass and membership information, appointment and class reminders, facility updates, and occasional promotional offers.
How to Opt In
You consent to receive text messages from SJC Strength & Vitality by providing your mobile number and affirmatively agreeing to be contacted. Consent is never pre-selected and is never a condition of purchasing any goods or services. We collect consent in exactly two places, both on sjcstrengthandvitality.com:
1. The chat widget
A chat widget appears as a launcher button in the lower-right corner of every page. Open it, enter your name, mobile phone number, and your question, then check the consent box, which reads:
“By submitting, you authorize SJC Strength and Vitality to text/call the number above for promotional messages, possibly using automated means. Msg/data rates apply, msg frequency varies. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See terms and privacy policy. Text HELP for help and STOP to unsubscribe.”
The box is unchecked by default and must be checked by you before the form can be submitted.
2. The “Get a Free 3-Day Pass” form
This form appears on our landing pages, including Premium Gym in San Juan Capistrano, Premium Gym near Dana Point, Premium Gym near Laguna Niguel, and our Dana Point Turkey Trot page. Below the Fitness Goals options there is an optional section headed “SMS Consent (optional)” containing an unchecked checkbox that reads:
“I agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from SJC Strength & Vitality at the mobile number provided.”
Directly beneath it we display: “Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms & Conditions.” The checkbox is optional; you can submit the form and receive your 3-day pass without agreeing to text messages. We only send marketing text messages to people who have checked this box.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to consent to receive text messages from SJC Strength & Vitality. By opting in, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly send marketing text messages to anyone under 18.

How to Opt Out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving text messages from us. You will receive a single confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again.

Supported Carriers and Delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed.
Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of data exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
